- 1. Marco Polo explored through Asia. Trade routes were made because of his travels. He was one of the first Europeans to travel into Mongolia and China.
2. There was a conflict between Venice and Genoa. Polo was Captured and imprisoned by the Genoese. This happened in 1298. While in jail polo dictated the story of his travels to a writer who published his book.
3. Marco Polo had eight voyages. The year Range was 1285 to 1324.
4. On one of his fathers voyages Marco went with him. They left on a long journey. The visited many places. On the trip Marco discovered eye glasses, spaghetti , ice cream, and the riches of China.5. He was a storyteller when he came back from his journey. He Tolled everyone about his journey. Also he tolled them about what he discovered. He brought some of his riches home. That made him famous.
